With imagery using a multitude of mediums and styles, and derived from such diverse sources as art history and popular culture, Professor Winship’s work is a balance between romanticism and skepticism; rich in metaphor reflecting on indecision and helplessness; full of faith in humanity with humor referring to the gravity of life’s transitions and driving forces that remain out of reach but always present and affecting our everyday.
