Music Minor

Requirements

A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 is required for courses used to fulfill the Music minor requirements. A minimum of 10 credit hours must be taken at IU Indianapolis.

Not all courses are regularly offered. Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor to better plan their studies.

CORE COURSES

Six credits are required. You must take the following courses:

  • MUS-Z111 101 Introduction to Music Theory (3 credits)*
  • MUS-M174 Music for the Listener (3 credits)*
MUSIC ENSEMBLE

Two credits are required. Choose one of the following:

MUSIC ELECTIVES

Twelve credits are required. Any music course will count for the electives, including private lessons and ensembles.
