Earn a book arts minor
The minor in book arts offers a comprehensive course of study for disciplines in which text, narrative, and visuals are relevant in relation to tactile form, structure, interactivity, and presentation.
Course work is committed to developing excellence in work by hand as well as expressive and conceptual skills. Finding synergies between disciplines is an important aspect of artists' books as well as complementing the digital world with unique objects that can creatively solve problems.
The book arts minor consists of 15-credit hours focused on book bindings and technical processes as they relate to artists' books and sculptural paper, handmade paper production, methods of typesetting, and image development within the book environment, as well as book arts in the contemporary art and print market.
