Explore Tyler's collaborations
From 1966 until 2001 master printer Kenneth Tyler collaborated with some of the twentieth century's most important artists on projects that redefined the medium of fine art printmaking.
With a 'no rules' mantra, Tyler worked with dozens of artists to create prints in a variety of forms — "through prints as series and portfolios, to folding screens, mural prints, lead reliefs, vacuum-formed plastics, sprayed paper pulp, and prints in three dimensions that take leave of the wall completely."
Kenneth Tyler: The Art of Collaboration focuses on Tyler's innovative printmaking with eleven iconic artists: Josef Albers, Helen Frankenthaler, David Hockney, Terence La Noue, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Mitchell, Robert Motherwell, John Newman, Steven Sorman, Frank Stella, and John Walker.
