Demystify the art critique process with Lori Waxman
In spring 2019, the Galleries at Herron School of Art and Design hosted a public performance by Chicago Tribune columnist Lori Waxman of her ongoing project 60 wrd/min art critic. During the three-day performance, Waxman reviewed artwork by 30 artists of all ages, skill levels, and artistic disciplines by appointment at no charge. Waxman's reviews were published by Nuvo and can be accessed here.
Since 2005, Waxman's internationally acclaimed performance has resulted in more than 700 written reviews for artists in underserved and underrepresented arts communities across the United States and Europe. 60 wrd/min art critic also reveals the art critique process in real-time as artist, artwork, critic, and review all exist in the same space.
