INDIANAPOLIS -- The Herron School of Art and Design's Sculpture Club’s annual Wearable Art Show will take place on March 27 at the Eskenazi Fine Arts Center, located at 1410 Indiana Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the runway show begins at 7 p.m.
The Wearable Art Show celebrates student creativity in the form of wearable sculptures, performance art, avant-garde fashion, and cutting-edge music. Herron’s spirit of collaboration and innovation shines through as students from almost all of Herron’s majors participate, whether as performers, DJs, set designers, or event promoters.
Monique Burts (B.F.A. ‘23) is among the long list of contemporary wearable artists who have participated in Herron’s Wearable Art Show. Burts’ innovative approach to wearable art, storytelling, and performance will be featured in the upcoming Indy Arts Council’s Art & Soul Artist Showcase on April 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Madam Walker Legacy Center.
“This event celebrates 21 years of creativity, innovation, and bold self-expression.” said Herron Dean and professor of sculpture Greg Hull. “It’s an incredible opportunity for students to push boundaries, transform materials, and share their artistry with the community.”
Experience the magic of wearable art for yourself on March 27. Arrive as early as 6:00 p.m. to save your seat for the runway show at 7:00 p.m.
