Herron continues 100-year tradition with Fall 2024 Saturday School Programs

This fall, the Community Learning Programs at Herron School of Art and Design will host four programs for art-curious youth and adults. Each spring, summer, and fall, central Indiana’s aspiring artists are invited to gain authentic art-making experiences in a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.

Taught by adjunct faculty along with Indianapolis-based artists, Herron’s Community Learning Programs focus on personal artistic enrichment for all ages and skill levels. Fall 2024 programs include Saturday School courses for students in grades 1 through 12 and workshops for adults ages 18 and up. Disciplines covered include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and fiber arts.

All sessions are offered on Saturdays, running October 5 through November 9, 2024. Saturday School classes cost $200 per semester for eight sessions and are held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for grades 1 through 8 and 1 to 4 p.m. for adults and grades 9 through 12. Scholarships are available for participants in grades 1 thorugh 12.

Registration is now open online. For more information, contact program coordinator Es Cole at cole10@iu.edu.
